Meanwhile, it was an exciting week for media - The Cut made a print issue for September, Gallery Media Group (parent company of Purewow) is entering its 13th year of profitability and Outside acquired MapMyFitness from Under Armour. More and more media companies are thinking outside the box and making strategic moves to attract new audiences and advertisers.

Lily Jamali, formerly senior reporter at Marketplace, is now North America tech correspondent at the BBC, based in San Francisco.
Ritika Gupta, formerly reporter and producer at Bloomberg TV, is now North America business correspondent at the BBC providing live coverage and analysis of economics and business news and anchor a daily TV business show, based in New York.
Claire Boston, formerly team leader for distressed debt and bankruptcy coverage at Bloomberg News, is now reporter at Yahoo! Finance covering housing.
Aaron Wiener, formerly Retropolis editor and assignment editor on the Metro desk at The Washington Post, is moving back to reporting to cover housing and development at the same newspaper.
Christine Hall, formerly reporter at TechCrunch, is leaving the outlet and has yet to announce her new role.
Kate Ellsworth, formerly executive editor of lifestyle and commerce at USA Today’s Reviewed, is now commerce editor at AOL/Yahoo overseeing product reviews, best-of lists and commerce content.
