Today's Edition: Shadow Campaigns, Uncrustables and Zillennials

Good morning. With the presidential election next week and companies in the thick of earnings season, executives who tend to keep their heads down as Election Day nears may be forced to discuss its outcome and any uncertainty surrounding it. According to a JP Morgan report, markets tend to be volatile ahead of an election but level out once a candidate has been chosen. However, this year, mandatory recounts could delay results, causing a longer stretch of indecision that executives on the earnings media circuit might have to address. On a positive note, Starbucks announced this week it will stop charging extra for dairy alternatives, delighting consumers in the US and Canada.
