Today’s Edition: Cheez-It, Quiet Vacationing, and Bethenny Frankel
Good morning! This week, Cannes closed with a historic win for Karla Sofía Gascón, who became the first transgender woman to be recognized with the Best Actress Award. Stateside, it's been a depressing start to the summer box office season, with no Barbenhimer savior in sight. Memorial Day weekend ticket sales are the lowest-grossing slate since 1995.
It's also been a disastrous week for American Airlines, which fired its chief commercial officer and is now facing multiple lawsuits. And, yesterday, Former President Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts in a "hush money" trial, a verdict that is sure to further divide America ahead of the elections.
