Today's Edition: Mallrats, AI Judges and Tumblr TV
Good morning. Intensifying what was already a rollercoaster of a week, the World Economic Forum in Davos kicked off, bringing together C-suite executives from around the world to talk mostly about AI. DEI, climate and sustainability seemed to take a back seat: per Axios, “AI’s impact on employee morale and jobs is what executives here are focused on. While energy companies are here, the focus of the conference has been on AI’s impact on labor and jobs, not broader social goals like climate.”
Also this week, brands are raring to go on Super Bowl LIX, from releasing commercial teasers, which are being dominated by celebrities, nostalgia and comedy, to preparing for sponsored parties and events.
